About Us

We’ve been here on the Doagh Road for quite a long time – since 1859 to be precise! But that’s not the most important thing about our Church – We want to be here, NOW, for you!

Our church motto is People Matter to God –  and that includes you!

Our aim is to be a church that is like a big Family – a community of people where you can get to know others and make friends, and our wide range of activities and organisations offer something for all age groups, from the youngest to the oldest. You’ll find much more information elsewhere on our website. The Friday Morning Café is really popular and is a great place to make friends, as well as enjoying wonderful home baking!

We want to be a church that cares about people in practical down to earth ways – someone from the ministerial team is usually available if you call in, and we spend lots of our time calling with people in their homes, visiting them in hospitals and nursing homes, and seeking to support them at times when life is particularly difficult. We place a high priority on this, and as well as the Ministerial Team, lots of people in our church are involved in doing this.

As well as this general pastoral support, our church is also the base for the Ballyclare Food Bank.

Most important of all, our aim is to be a Church that helps as many people as possible to have a positive, personal Christian Faith that gives them the reassurance and strong hope in God that well need for our lives, both now and in the future. This is why we think that Sunday @ Church is by far the most important part of church life. Our aim is to make every service user friendly and truly helpful for faith in Jesus Christ, who said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.

So we would be so pleased if you come along any Sunday, and we encourage you to  make yourself known to us.

As well as our main Sunday services we also offer Messy Church once a month on Sunday afternoons – it’s a great way for parents and children to make a first connection with church.

WAVE which also happens once a month, provides an informal and enjoyable worship time for people with learning disabilities.

And alongside all of this we also encourage people to come to smaller groups for Christianity Explored, Discipleship Explored, Bible Study etc.

If you would like to ask more about any of this, please contact us via the website or through the church office, or by coming along during the week or on a Sunday. We’d be really pleased to meet you.

For all the latest information on meetings, times and venues please refer to our weekly newssheet (What's on) under the "Breaking News! tile" on the front page.
