Important information regarding impact of COVID-19 coronavirus

Following guidance from the government and formal advice from the Presbyterian Church in Ireland all Sunday gatherings for worship and congregational organisations will cease until further notice.

Worship

We are exploring ways that we will have an online presence on a Sunday and at this point encourage you to avail of the variety of other congregational services that will be streamed online this coming Sunday. We will update the Facebook page and website with more information as soon we can.

Pastoral Care

During this period pastoral care will be limited to emergency situations. Should you be aware of anyone who has a pastoral or practical need to encourage them to contact our Deaconess, Michelle Purdy. Michelle is also available by telephone for anyone who is finding the current situation stressful.

Caring for the community

We are also working with other churches and community organisations to implement practical support for the greater Ballyclare area. If you would like to assist with this please contact Michelle.

Office Hours

At this present time the church office will continue to operate Monday & Wednesday-Friday, 9am-1pm. However, we would encourage you to telephone rather than drop in, the number is 028 9334 0302. As far as possible we are seeking to limit access to the church halls by individuals during office opening hours.

Finally, may we encourage you to continue to give thanks that we have a faithful, Sovereign God. Please pray for one another, those who are feeling vulnerable and anxious, but particularly pray for the safety of our healthcare professionals on the frontline and our government for wisdom.

Welcome to Ballyclare Presbyterian Church – or at least to our website! We would love to welcome you personally because we want to be a church that is warm and welcoming to everybody – a church that is very much part of our community and that is committed to serving it. We believe that ‘People Matter to God’ and our aim is to be that kind of church. At the very heart of our church life is our conviction that Jesus Christ gives us a foundation, a framework and a future for life, and our own aim is to learn to trust in Jesus more, and to be a church that helps other people to do so also. Please feel free to contact us, or even better call in and see us – either during the week, or better still, on Sunday – I think you’ll find a welcome. By the way, Sundays are fairly informal and relaxed in dress code, as well as in every other way, and we’d just love to meet you.
